We are looking for applicants who have:
1.Good grades in related courses in your undergraduate degree and your master’s degree
2.Undergraduate/Master degrees in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, management, and business
3.Good performance in standardized scores such as the GRE, IEL TS, or TOEFL
4.Informative and well-written responses to our SOP form
5.Recommendation letters that provide specific details about the applicants’ academic and research abilities, their motivation and character, and their relevant experience
6.A writing sample that shows your ability to do research
Minimum requirements for our applicants can be found at the Xiamen University Admissions website:http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn/.Students who apply to the School of Economics (SOE), the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) and Gregory and Paula Chow Center for Economic Research (Chow Center)can choose to have their application portfolio pre-screened through the following system(Link:http://wise.xmu.edu.cn/pre-screening/)fromDecember 1st, 2019 to April 15, 2020. The applicants registered for a pre-screening will have a chance know their academic review result earlier and the applicants who passed the pre-screening will be issued a conditional acceptance letter for further usage by the International Graduate Program (IGP) Committee at SOE, WISE, and Chow Center.
The purpose of pre-screening the applicants is to review your academic credentials only. The IGP Admission Committee does not make final decisions about admission or scholarship funding.
If you pass the pre-screening by theIGP Admission Committee, please log on tohttp://application.xmu.edu.cnfromFebruary 1, 2020 to April 15, 2020to submit the information and documents required by the university to complete the official admission procedure.
If you did not pass the pre-screening by the IGP Admission Committee, then we thank you for your interest in the IGP and we request that you consider other programs offered by schools or colleges at Xiamen University, other than SOE, WISE, and Chow Center.
